We’re having such a blast welcoming the class of 2020 to campus! If you like to sing, be sure to sign up for your 10 minute audition slot for Stanford’s only R&B, soul, hip-hop, and motown a cappella group! Come say hi at our table in White Plaza — we’ll be here for the rest of the week.
For audition day, just be yourself — we want to see you shine! Be sure to arrive at least ten minutes before your assigned audition slot just to settle in and let us get to know you a little better. All you need to prepare is a 30 second to 1 minute piece of a song you like and feel comfortable singing (any song or genre is wonderful — we’ve heard anything from Alicia Keys to Adele to the Happy Birthday song!) We’ll also lead you through a few easy exercises (like scales, rhythm matching, and pitch matching), just to get to know your voice better. The whole process is super chill — just have fun with it!
You don’t want to miss O-Show next Monday at 8pm at Memorial Auditorium! Come find us after the show to chat with our group and sign up for auditions.
If you have questions about the audition process, or would like to make a change to your audition times, please contact our Business Manager Teyonna at email@example.com. And follow us on our Facebook page for updates!
We can’t wait to meet you and hear your wonderful voice!
It’s almost time to kick off the new year! We’re so excited to welcome new singers to the EP family — if you love to sing, come check us out at White Plaza starting September 21st to learn more about the group and sign up to audition! We can’t wait to meet you.
The ASSU recently changed the way they fund student groups, and EP needs your help. In efforts to increase transparency, the ASSU itself no longer directly distributes General Fees but instead requires Annual Grants to receive student approval. They’ve decreased the fixed activities fee for students in favor of allowing students to choose which student groups they’d like to fund.
We’re not applying for Special Fees (although it may seem that way on the ballot), and we’re not asking for any more money than we have in the past. EP’s asking for $1 per student so that we may keep our biannual shows free of charge, as they have been for the last 28 years. Please support us in keeping our shows free of charge by voting for us at http://ballot.stanford.edu
