EP’s first album, Shades of Soul (1993), made a splash in the a cappella community, winning a recording award from the Contemporary A Cappella Society. Since this premiere album, our records continue to receive critical acclaim.
Wail (1996) was followed by 2648 West Grand Blvd. (1998), which received rave reviews from the Recorded A Cappella Review Board as well as runner-up awards for Best Album, Best Song, and Best Soloist awards in the 1999 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards in the Mixed Collegiate category.
EP Jones (1999) was deemed the Contemporary A Cappella Society’s Best Album of the Year and was nominated by the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards in the Mixed Collegiate category for Best Song, Best Album, Best Arranger, and Best Soloist. It also received a runner-up award for Best Song. EP Jones also featured original lyrics.
Extended Play (2001) was followed by Lovespeak (2005). “Whatever You Like” on the 2005 album was given the honor of being featured on the 2005 Best of College A Cappella CD. In 2009, EP released The Next Episode.
EP’s newest album, The Sweetest, features contemporary Hip-Hop, R&B, Motown, and Soul hits while paying homage to the greats of these genre with classic favorites.
